Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) represent a critical component of terrestrial ecosystems, forming symbiotic relationships with the majority of plant species.

This mutualistic association has profound implications for sustainable agriculture, as it enhances nutrient uptake, improves plant health, and contributes to soil structure and fertility.

This chapter provides an overview of the diverse applications of AMF in sustainable agricultural systems, highlighting their role in enhancing crop productivity, reducing environmental impacts, and promoting long-term agricultural sustainability.

By harnessing the potential of AMF, farmers can build more sustainable agricultural systems that address the challenges of food security, environmental degradation, and climate change.
